Web can be a richer place! - Opera’s CTO in Paderborn

”Web can be a richer place - Everyone has a chance to participate!”

Just a few moments ago I shook hands with Håkon Wium Lie, CTO of Opera.

During their University Tours, they also stopped in Paderborn, where Hakon gave a little 1h talk. (quick notes I made for myself can be found here.)

After that, the in my eyes more interesting part, was a more unformal little discussion round with some beer, where we talked about the X in XHTML, the future of CSS3 and HTML 5, browsers and web devices and Opera’s history (they didn’t give away Opera for free from the beginning on).

It’s quite interesting, especially beacause he’s not just some person who uses HTML/CSS, but basically invented CSS, wrote his PhD about sytle sheets and has a lot of power as a CTO at Opera.
